See How Everyone is Celebrating
In early-June, Lasagna chefs in Kansas united to dine and bond over their love for Lasagna Love! A distant friend and chef in Connecticut was kind enough to send funding for these volunteers to feed some matches. It is incredible to see Lasagna chefs from all over the country paying it forward and fostering relationships between each other. 🧡
"We met tonight at my house and had a good time meeting each other and talking about this interesting part time job we share... We are: two nurses, a data analyst, a zookeeper(!), and a homemaker. We made up a very fun and funky 'dinner club' of sorts. Here’s to another year of feeding our neighbors."

"My heart is so full with the conversations I’ve had at drop-offs and the texts filled with compliments and gratitude afterward. It’s a small thing we’re doing but it’s making such a big difference for people. And I had no idea how much this would fill my own cup along the way. What you give, you get back. ♥️🍝" - Briana Hansen Johnson, Lasagna Chef
There is truly something so special about giving back to members of our communities, no matter the circumstances.

We all have the power to assist others in ways both big and small. We encourage you to tap into that power by joining this wonderful community of volunteers 🧡

"Ready for my very first match... As an Italian American, Christmas dinner in my family means lasagna. I’m praying that those receiving will feel the same magic and love, even in the heat of summer! 🇮🇹" - Anita Arico Padgett, Lasagna Chef
We hope that our deliveries do not only offer nourishing, home-cooked meals, but also instill recipients with feelings of family, home, and love, however those may look to them.

“I want to be honest: This was uncomfortable- Ron refused to let me go alone because of where we were going. It wasn’t hanging out with a shelter dog at a baseball game, or dropping off a food donation to the hospital.
⠀
But it’s the uncomfortable work- the hard work- that sometimes makes the most difference. Because I don’t know what it’s like to have my house condemned because it’s deemed “uninhabitable;” I’ve never had to worry where I’ll go next, how I’ll afford it or how I’ll feed my children tomorrow.
⠀
I don’t know what it’s like to live in a motel- and when I say, I am grateful for that, I mean that with every fiber of my being. But so many of our fellow humans live one step away from homelessness, poverty, being unable to feed our kids.
⠀
And if doing the uncomfortable work makes one less person feel alone, gives one more person hope that the future is better than the right now, or shows one single person that there is someone, somewhere, that cares when it feels like nobody does? Sign. Me. Up.” - Megan, lasagna chef
